The AHG Thai Barbecue Paste Chicken Kai Yang (50g) is an authentic, spicy, aromatic marinade from Thailand – perfect for chicken dishes in the style of the popular street food “Kai Yang”. The harmonious combination of Lemongrass, turmeric, coriander and garlic gives every dish an exotic, slightly spicy taste. Ideal for marinating and grilling or for oven and pan dishes.

👨‍🍳 Preparation & consumption recommendations

Mix the chicken with the marinade and 2 tablespoons of oil, cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (better overnight).
Grill: Brush with marinade several times while grilling.
Oven: Bake at 190°C for approx. 30-45 minutes, brushing regularly with marinade.
Pan: Fry over medium heat until golden brown.

🍗 Kai Yang with sticky rice & Thai vegetable salad

Preparation:

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with the paste and 2 tablespoons of oil, cover and let sit in the refrigerator overnight.
  2. Cook in the oven at 190°C for about 40 minutes or prepare on the grill.
  3. Serve with steamed sticky rice and a salad of carrots, cucumbers, chili and lime juice.

Preparation:

  1. Cut the chicken breast into cubes, mix with the marinade and marinate for 1 hour.
  2. Place on skewers and fry on all sides on the grill or in the grill pan.
