📖 More about the product
What is Red Braising Sauce?
The Lee Kum Kee Red Braising Sauce is a traditional Chinese braised marinade based on wine and soy sauce. This type of sauce is central to many classic Chinese dishes, particularly the so-called "red cooking" technique - a slow braising in flavored sauce that gives ingredients a deep brown color and rich flavor.
Popularity & Use
The sauce is particularly well known for the preparation of Hong Shao Rou, one of China's most famous braised dishes with braised pork belly. But vegetarian dishes such as braised tofu with pak choi or beef with daikon can also be excellently refined with it. The taste is savory, slightly sweet, complex and very umami - ideal for anyone who appreciates authentic Chinese cuisine.
